Next Community Class
Cathy will be teaching her bi-annual class to the Avista New Moms’ Group at Avista Hospital this Monday November 12. More details available through the Avista Moms & Babies Facebook Group, or contact Cathy for more information. Topics include communication and feeding milestones, as well as tips and tricks for peaceful family dynamics! Such a pleasure to work with this group of mothers.
The Importance of Conversational Turns in Child Care Settings
More research about the importance of turns in conversation with young children, but this time in a preschool classroom setting (as opposed to only at home). Turns are sometimes nonverbal (e.g. a smile, a gesture); a great reminder to allow space and wait time for the child’s turn in a conversation. Enjoy!
